What Kind Of Weather Can N.B. Expect This Autumn?

Leaf peeping, apple picking and harvesting the garden are all part of autumn in New Brunswick.

After last year’s summer-like fall season, what is in store for the province this year?

The Weather Network meteorologist Doug Gilham says temperatures will be cooler to round out this month but more warmth is on the way.

“While we are going to have some cooler weather as we finish off September and head into October, expect a more gentle slide into winter. We are going to start seeing temperatures return to above seasonal as we head deeper into the fall season,” he notes.

Given the warmer than normal water temperatures surrounding the Maritimes, Gilham believes that could help fuel any tropical systems passing by and possibly dump a lot of rainfall on the region.

The Autumnal Equinox arrives at 10:54 PM on Saturday, September 22.
