Green Party Pledges To Put Significant Resources Into Mental Health

The leader of the provincial Green party was in Sackville on Wednesday to announce a plank in the party platform.

David Coon tells us mental health is a major concern these days, especially among young people.

“There is a crisis building in our school system, children and youth with depression and anxiety disorder and we don’t have adequate mental health care to support them,” says Coon.

If elected Coon says a Green government would put in enough resources to ensure that nine percent of the health budget is earmarked for mental health services.
