A man in his late teens is facing threats and weapons charges after an incident on Fredericton’s north side.
The Saint John police Emergency Tactical Services unit and the RCMP were called to a residence around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Staff Sgt. Jim Fleming told our newsroom they were told an armed man was making threats.
Fleming said the suspect was arrested about five-and-a-half hours later after he surrendered without incident.
He said the man was turned over to the RCMP, who were covering Fredericton on Saturday due to the regimental funeral for two slain officers.
