Fredericton Evacuees Allowed Back Home

More than 50 people evacuated after Friday’s shooting in Fredericton are being allowed to return home.

The residents live in an apartment complex at the scene of the incident on the city’s north side.

Officers completed collecting evidence from the buildings on Monday and released them back to the owner.

But police warned there was damage to the interior of the buildings from their response to the shooting.

Sunfield Apartments worked through the night on necessary repairs to get everyone back in their homes, but they say many more repairs will be needed over the coming days.
