Big Swim Raises Over $160, 000 To Send Kids To Camp

It was a tougher swim than expected, but the swimmers did their best and raised a lot of money for Brigadoon Village camp.

Over $160,000 was raised by the 49 swimmers and their kayakers who made their way from Cape Jourimain, NB to Borden, PEI, swimming along the Confederation Bridge.

The current was swift, and swimmers were forced to take a bit of a detour..and ended up swimming 22 kilometres instead of the planned 15…so what normally takes around 5 hours, took almost 8 hours for some..

The money raised will help to send kids with chronic illnesses and other special needs to camp.
