Inmate Escapes Parrtown Centre In Saint John

Saint John police are looking for a man who they say is unlawfully at large from the Parrtown Community Correctional Centre.

Police say Nico Soubliere cut off his electronic monitoring anklet and left the facility on Wednesday.

The 26-year-old is serving a six-year, eight-month sentence for manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm, and police say there is a Canada-wide warrant out for his arrest.

Soubliere is the second person to leave the Parrtown centre unlawfully in the last few weeks.

Police say 27-year-old James Halleran left the facility on July 31 and has not been seen since.

He is serving an eight-year sentence for aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm with intent, and assault with the use of force.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force.
