Human Bones Confirmed In Campbellton Area Murder Investigation

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit has confirmed that human bones were discovered last weekend outside a home in Dundee near Campbellton.

But police say it may take some time before the remains can be positively identified.

Mounties were called to a home last Saturday (July 28) to check on the well-being of 54-year-old Brigitte Pelletier.

Given the evidence gathered, officers arrested the woman’s husband, 56-year-old Gilles Moreau of Dundee, who has been charged with first degree murder.

He is being held in custody and will return to court on August 13th.
