Namaste may be the word of the day in downtown Moncton on Saturday.
Thousands are expected at the second annual Breathe Yoga Fest on Moncton’s waterfront.
Co-Founder Gail Collins says it has a lot more to offer this year.
“Last year, we had upwards of 800 plus, but we are anticipating over 2500 this year. We have double the workshops, double the classes and double the vendors,” Collins says.
She says this event is open to anyone, even if you have never done yoga before.
“People are terrified of yoga for the first time. They say, well, I’m not flexible. It has nothing to do with flexibility. it is about strengthening your body and bettering your mind. It just changes your life,” Collins says.
Co-Founder Cathy Manuel says you will be amazed by the benefits, “You don’t have to have a specific fitness ability or body type. That’s the beauty of yoga is that the intention of yoga is that it is accessible to all. That’s why we created Yoga Fest.”
