NB Power Committed To Bringing Smart Metres To Its Customers

Despite the Energy and Utilities Board’s decision to turn down an application for smart metres, the CEO of NB Power says they are still committed to bringing them to their customers, because they believe it is an evolutionary step.

NB Power had hoped to buy 350, 000 smart metres.

In a statement, Gaetan Thomas says they plan to review the EUB decision and look at the overall impact on the utility.

He adds that they remain focused on the future .and are committed to providing affordable, reliable clean energy.

Thomas says their plan is to reapply to the Board in the coming months.
