A national recruitment process is underway for New Brunswick’s next commissioner of official languages.
A selection committee has been established to identify qualified candidates and to submit a list to the Legislative Assembly.
The responsibilities of the commissioner include investigating complaints under the Official Languages Act, and promoting the advancement of both official languages in the province.
Interested individuals have until Aug. 10 to apply for the position. The application, along with information on the qualifications and conditions for this position, is available online.
The individual will replace Katherine d’Entremont, who recently announced her retirement. Former Official Languages Commissioner Michel A. Carrier has been named in the interim,
