Carnage in the Greektown neighbourhood of Toronto on Sunday evening as a gunman shot 14 people, killing two.
Multiple media sources say the incident happened around 10 p.m. in the popular Danforth Avenue area as a man pulled a gun and suddenly began shooting people
Toronto police arrived on the scene and there was an exchange of gunfire with the suspect, but they can’t say for certain how he died.
Toronto Mayor John Tory told reporters this is “evidence of a gun problem in Toronto”.
Tonight, a despicable act has been perpetrated on the Danforth in our city. On behalf of all Toronto residents, I am outraged that someone has unleashed such a terrible attack on our city and people innocently enjoying a Sunday evening.
