UPDATED: Burn Ban Continues Across New Brunswick

**Updated at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 14**

Campfires and brush burning continue to be banned across New Brunswick.

A burn ban was put in place on Friday afternoon by the Department of Energy and Resource Development.

In its daily update on Saturday, the department says it will now remain in effect until at least 2 p.m. Sunday.

So far this year, there have been 213 fires in New Brunswick, which is well above the 10-year average of 168 fires to date.
