An Ottawa man is facing child pornography charges thanks to a tip from the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit in New Brunswick.
In mid-May this year, the Ottawa Police Service was informed about an undercover luring operation which identified a man from the nation’s capital.
According to police, the man engaged in several conversations asking to have sexual relations with a child.
On July 5th, officers in Ottawa armed with a search warrant found an extensive collection of chats relating to sexual abuse of children and images of child pornography.
59-year old Vernon Terwilligar faces two counts of arranging a sexual offence against a child, and one count each of making and possessing child pornography.
