Downtown Moncton Fire Displaces Ten

An early morning fire in downtown Moncton has left nine adults and a toddler temporarily displaced.

Around 1am, Moncton Fire responded to a five-unit apartment building at 264 Robinson Street.

Firefighters say the fire began in the attic crawl space and it was aggressively attacked and contained to the attic area.

Everyone got out safely.

No word yet on a cause.

The tenants have received help from the Red Cross including basic necessities and emergency lodging.
