A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a fire which destroyed St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Bas-Caraquet.
RCMP say the teen, who is from the Caraquet area, could face charges related to the fire.
But he has been released on a promise to appear in youth court on August 28th.
Firefighters were called to a fire at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church on Sunday and thought they had extinguished the flames by the end of the day.
However, a second fire erupted at the church early Monday and it was destroyed.
RCMP are continuing their investigation in conjunction with the New Brunswick Fire Marshal’s Office.
