Two Treated For Minor Injuries After ATV Rollover In Dieppe

The Dieppe Fire Department was called around 1:30 Sunday morning to help two people after their ATV rolled over.

Fire Chief Conrad Landry says they were alerted by other riders, and on arrival at Rue Jeanne, a dirt trail off Amirault Street, they found a man and woman in the ditch beside the trail.

He says conditions were extremely icy, and definitely played a role in the incident.

“Was it the factor? I don’t know, so we don’t have a report if speed or alcohol was a factor, but definitely the condition of the trail played a factor,” says Landry.

Landry says in terms of finding a cause, it’s now in the hands of the RCMP.

He adds even though the frozen trail was wide enough for them to have brought an SUV, he says they used their own ATV and brought a stretcher to the scene.

Landry adds the two people were taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
