A fund raising campaign is well underway to raise money for the New Brunswick Association for Community Living in order for it to continue to assist those caring for family members or individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The Association has 10,000 clients in the province and receive about 200 calls per month for help in the short term and long term, whether its three months, six months or a year.
Executive Director Danny Soucy says “we’re looking at introducing at least one thousand individuals to the association in the next few years so that we can tell them what we do, they can spread the word so that individuals that need our support will find out about it and individuals who want to support the association find out about us”.

Soucy also says “it is a five year campaign and we are now half way into the second year and we’ve raised so far $980,000 and our goal is $3 million for the five years”.
