NB Power Applies For Average 2-Percent Rate Increase

NB Power is looking to get the green light from the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board to hike rates starting in the spring.

It has applied to the EUB to get approval for an average 2-percent increase in the rates it proposes to charge starting April 1.

The EUB is holding a public session in Saint John on February 7 at 6pm at the Delta Brunswick on King Street where anyone from the public can come and comment on NB Power’s application, though you do have to register first. You can do so by email at general@nbeub.ca or by calling 1-866-766-2782.

If you can’t make it person you can send comments in writing by February 2.
