Survey Shows Optimism About Greater Moncton Economy

Business owners believe low property taxes, removing red tape and better roads should be priorities for municipal councils in 2018 according to a recent survey by the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce.

Interim Chamber CEO John Wishart says the business community is feeling optimistic about the local economy this year.

Respondents gave a rating of 7.6 out of 10 but it was a different story provincially.

Wishart adds business owners were feeling less optimistic about New Brunswick’s overall economy and gave it a rating of 5.5 out of 10.
