New Brunswickers will be buying their legal pot at Cannabis NB stores and a training program is being developed for the employees.
The training program is the first of its kind in the country and includes three weeks of in-class training, part of it online and there’s also individual learning. Topics covered in the program include operations and store procedures, responsible use, customer service and more.
An agreement was signed by NB Liquor and Ontario-based medical marijuana company Canopy Growth Corporation to develop this program. The two jointly own the program which will be offered to other provinces for them to buy.
The federal government plans to legalize cannabis by July of this year.
