The Provincial NDP has told a news conference if they form government, they will immediately cancel the contract with Medavie for extra-mural and Telecare.
Jennifer McKenzie says health care in New Brunswick will suffer because for example nurses will not be able to decide who gets treated and where because they have to use performance indicators instead of their own skills and knowledge.
McKenzie says the NDP is also very concerned about how any employee-management grievances would be resolved.
McKenzie says the public clearly wants to see health care remain in public hands not be privatized.
