West District RCMP arrested a man early in the New Year in relation to a significant seizure of what are believed to be pills of methamphetamine.
On January 2nd, around 7:45 in the morning, officers stopped an eastbound vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway near Saint-Léonard.
During a search of the vehicle, they found approximately 28,000 pills in more than two dozen bags.
The driver was arrested at the scene.
A 47-year old Moncton man was released on conditions pending a future court appearance.
