Food Prices To Rise Next Year By How Much?

After a year of food price stagnation, the annual food price report is predicting an increase in food prices for the Atlantic region next year.

The report, from Dalhousie University and the University of Guelph, forecasts a 1 to 3 per cent increase in food prices bn 2018.The highest price increases, anywhere from 4 to 6 per cent, will be for vegetables and restaurant meals.

It’s also predicted a family of 4 will spend almost $12 thousand on food, an increase of $348.
