Southeast District RCMP Asking Property Owners Near Port Elgin To Check For Missing Man

Southeast District RCMP are asking property owners in the Port Elgin area to check their properties as part of an ongoing search for Tyler Fillmore.

The 28-year old was reported missing November 26th, and later that day his vehicle was discovered off John A Trenholm Road, and some of his personal belongings were found on a nearby trail.

Police confirmed they’ve found more items belonging to Fillmore at a trailer in the Upper Cape area on November 30th.

Additionally, there have been several reported sightings of Fillmore in the area, but the information wasn’t passed to police until some time had passed.

Sergeant Paul Gagné says they’re asking people to check their cottages, trailers, or outbuildings, especially ones not in regular use, and report any unusual activity.

Fillmore is white, 5’7″ tall weighing about 142 pounds with a slim build, as well as red hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information about Fillmore’s whereabouts or disappearance is asked to call the Southeast District RCMP, Sackville Detachment at 506.364.5023.
