Tis the season for Christmas shopping… and ’tis the season for theft too.
Codiac RCMP are taking part in a province-wide campaign called “All Valuables Removed” which is aimed at reducing theft from vehicles during the holidays.
Codiac RCMP volunteers will be visiting shopping outlets in the tri-communities this weekend handing out information pamphlets about the campaign.
The pamphlet includes a checklist to reduce the risk of theft, including placing valuables out of sight, locking car doors and parking in well-lit areas when shopping at night.
