A 37-year-old Moncton man has been charged following a house fire in Dieppe over the weekend.
Codiac RCMP say Christian Gallant is charged with arson and disregard for human life and is being held in custody.
Police say the fire began in a vehicle and spread to a home on Lakeburn Avenue early Saturday morning.
The occupants managed to get out safely but fire officials say the home may be a total loss.
Christian Gallant was arrested on Sunday and is scheduled to return to court on Wednesday afternoon for a bail hearing.
