The Dieppe Fire Department and Codiac RCMP are investigating a fire on Lakeburn Avenue this morning as suspicious.
Dieppe Fire District Chief Marc Cormier says they received a call about a vehicle on fire at 4:18 this morning.
“Upon arrival, the fire had spread to a nearby duplex,” says Cormier. “The duplex was covered in flames, fully engulfed on the exterior of the building.”
Cormier says a bystander informed them of a second vehicle on fire in the area, and firefighters put that out as well.
There were no injuries among the firefighters or the residents of the duplex, although the building is expected to be declared a total loss.
