Cyber Crime is on the increase in Canada but it’s under reported.
Scott Doron of Security and Investigations for the RCMP told the Senate Committee on Banking, Trade and Commerce not reporting cyber crime hinders law enforcement because they don’t have enough data to connect the dots.
Doron concedes the demands posed by cyber crime have exceeded the RCMP’s capacity and more resources will be needed to combat it.
