Over the last three years, the Gallant government has hired just over 300 doctors province-wide.

Provincial numbers show 93 doctors have been hired in Greater Moncton which breaks down as 34 general practitioners and 59 specialists.
Premier Brian Gallant admits that physician recruitment is not always easy.
“There are lots of other provinces and areas that are trying to recruit these people. So there’s no doubt that it’s competitive But we do believe we have a great product to sell… if you will… we have a great quality of life and a health care system that is top notch,” he notes.
Gallant adds the success rate is quite high once doctors come to the province and see the facilities, learn about life here and discover how welcoming New Brunswickers can be.
