Codiac RCMP are investigating after a robbery at JJ’s Convenience store on Vail Street last night.
Sergeant Mathieu Roy says a man tried to steal the tray of money from the cash register after the cashier opened it for a transaction.
He adds the cashier struggled with the thief, and Roy believes the robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Roy says nobody was injured despite the struggle, and at this time they are not revealing a description of the suspect.
