It was a busy morning for motorists who were trying to access the Eastbound lanes of the Trans Canada Highway between the Mapleton Road and Elmwood Road exits.
An accident involving a tractor trailer forced the closure of the eastbound lanes, while tow trucks tried to removethe vehicle.
Traffic was backed up onto the Mapleton Road exit, and also onto Mapleton Road.
There were traffic tie-ips on Gorge Road and onto Mountain Road as well.
It took several hours for crews to finally get truck out.
