Payette Gets Several Standing Ovations In The Legislature

It was not a regular Tuesday in the legislature.

Governor General Julie Payette addressed the legislative assembly and spoke about one of the stops on her visit–CFB Gagetown.

She called it good timing to be here during the week of Remembrance.

She says Veteran’s week gives the opportunity to stop and take a pause and honour those who serve in uniform and those we lost.

Payette got a standing ovation and following that the Health Minister Benoit Bourque sang the National anthem.
