Heavily armed RCMP officers arrested a man Monday afternoon after responding to an incident at an apartment on West Lane in Moncton.
Police set up road blocks in the neighbourhood near the Moncton Hospital after receiving a complaint of a person being held against their will.
Officers were spotted with carbine rifles and the police dog and its handler were on scene for roughly two and a half hours.
Police say a woman in the apartment at the time was not hurt.
No word yet on whether the man will face charges.
