A car that crashed into two homes on Rue Bliss-Noiles in Dieppe, meant a busy evening for both RCMP and Dieppe Fire.
District Fire Chief Marc Cormier says when firefighters arrived on scene at around 8:30, they found a car had struck a natural gas line, “The first arriving crew reported that the whole side of the house was engulfed. They did a quick knock down of the fire and then took action and shut off the natural gas feed. That helped to minimize and stop the spread of fire.”
One home sustained fire damage and the other was damaged structurally.
Cormier says this could have been a lot worse, if crews had not arrived so quickly.
No one was hurt in the incident.
There’s no word at this point whether or not anyone was arrested in connection with the collision.
RCMP are investigating.
