Students and Professors Study Aging At Unique U de M Learning Centre

Students and professors will gain hands-on experience in the study of long term care for seniors as the Collaborative Learning Centre on Aging opens at the Universite de Moncton campus.

In a university partnership with Shannex, the centre features the first academic nursing home in New Brunswick.

U de M president Raymond Theberge says the study of aging will also open up research opportunities.

“For us, it really goes squarely with our mission as a university. Also it allows us to get funding for the long term to fund research on aging,” he notes.

Theberge says internship and employment opportunities will also become available for students who are studying aging.
