More Than Just Dogs And Cats At The Greater Moncton SPCA

The Greater SPCA is currently being overrun by small critters, or pocket pets, as Executive Director Dave Rogers would call them.

He says they’re not only caring for dogs and cats right now, they have other animals up for adoption as well, “About 18 rats, three guinea pigs, three gerbils and hamsters and about eight rabbits, all up for adoption.”

Rogers adds, for fans of reptiles, they currently have Slitherena, “She is a two year old ball python. She is about three feet long, and she is quite docile, and relatively easy to handle. We go to the local pet stores and we buy what are called feeder mice, and of course water.”

He says there is an application process for these animals as well, and you must be approved before being able to take one home.
