Majority Of Canadians Are Confident In Government’s Ability To Renegotiate NAFTA

According to a new Ipsos poll, six in ten Canadians are confident the Liberal government will be able to renegotiate NAFTA in the best interests of the country.

Just under 40-percent of Canadians believe renegotiating the North American Free Trade Agreement will be beneficial to Canada, compared to 22-percent who thought it would be a bad thing.

About 20-percent don’t think renegotiations will make a difference and 25-percent are still not sure whether it will help or hurt Canada.

The poll also found that the Trudeau Liberals have an approval rating of 60-percent, which is up 4 points since April.
