Another big athletic event will get underway in Greater Moncton tonight.
The Special Olympics New Brunswick Summer Games will be held over the next four days.
Over 400 athletes, coaches and volunteers from New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island are involved.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 6pm tonight, with a parade starting at Foundry Street and ending at Moncton City Hall.

From there, the events get underway, with sports including swimming, golf, bowling, soccer, and softball.
The City of Moncton wishes to advise the motoring public of delays or detours in the following area to accommodate a parade on Thursday July 20, as part of the Special Olympics NB Summer Games being held in the region this week.
Street closures:
- From 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2017:
- Closure on Foundry Street from Record Street to Main Street for the parade line-up and staging from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Closure of Main Street from Bonaccord Street to Mechanic Street at 5:45 p.m. for the parade.
- Closure of Downing Street from Main Street to Assomption Boulevard from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Closure of Main Street from Mechanic Street to Botsford Street from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This street closure is for the Athletes Parade which will precede the Official Opening Ceremonies taking place at City Hall Plaza immediately afterwards. This is a full street closure with progressive reopening as the parade progresses.
