Many businesses in downtown Moncton have come and gone in recent years but some believe that will change given the momentum surrounding construction of the entertainment centre.
Leidy Cameron, manager of Piatto Pizzeria, says there hasn’t always been enough community support for the downtown.
“People in Moncton should help support our downtown to help it develop. I find that a lot of people support a lot of (big) box companies around and is leaving the small people struggling,” she notes.
But Cameron says many business owners are hopeful and say they can’t wait for the entertainment centre believing it will be a real game-changer for downtown.
