Canadian Francophone Games Kickoff Today In Moncton And Dieppe

Thousands of athletes, coaches and their families have arrived in Greater Moncton, and they are ready to compete.

An opening ceremony will be held today in Riverfront Park in Moncton, and the Games village, located at the Moncton 2010 Stadium, opens today as well.

The youth will be competing in three sectors of arts, leadership and sports.

Since the first Games in 1999, in Memramcook, the CFGames are held every three years.

The young participants range in age between 13 and 18 years old

This year’s events are being held in Moncton and in Dieppe.

The Games start today and run until July 15th.
