At Least 23 People Displaced After Fire In Woodstock

A fire in Woodstock has left at least 23 people homeless.

The fire was confined to a couple of units in a 12-unit apartment building and electrical service was shut off as a safety precaution.

Volunteers with the Canadian Red Cross provided emergency lodging, clothing and food to four children and 11 adults.

One person was sent to the hospital and then released after receiving treatment for minor burns.

The fire was reported in the early morning hours on Sunday at the apartment building located at 681 Main Street.
