Two minke whales have been found dead in Maritime waters over the past few days.
The Marine Animal Response Society says it was called to investigate a dead minke whale found ashore on Cape Breton on Tuesday.
Two days later, members from the Canadian Wildlife Health Cooperative and the Atlantic Veterinary College were asked to investigate a dead minke whale in East Point, Prince Edward Island.
According to the society, both of the whales were females and they were pregnant.
Investigations are underway to determine how the whales died.
