A man and woman from Grand-Barachois have been sentenced after pleading guilty to several drug-related offences.
Randy Scopie, 35, has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison after pleading guilty to charges including possession of cocaine, oxycodone, marijuana and hash for the purposes of trafficking.
Over $95,000 was seized and turned over to the Crown as proceeds of crime.
Jenny Clements, 31, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and cannabis resin for the purposes of trafficking and was sentenced to two years probation.
The pair were arrested in December after Mounties searched a Grand-Barachois home and seized a large amount of drugs, cash, a Taser and a crossbow.
