United States President Donald Trump has defended his Twitter attacks on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau following the G 7 meeting in Quebec on the weekend.
Speaking to reporters in Singapore, following the historic signing agreement between Trump and North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un, Trump clarified why he referred to Justin Trudeau as ‘dishonest and weak’ after they shook hands as he departed the meeting for Singapore and then Trudeau told a news conference Canada won’t be pushed around by the United States.
“I have a good relationship with Justin, I really did other than he had a news conference that he had because he assumed I was on an airplane and I wasn’t watching. He learned, that’s going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada, you just, don’t do that, you just don’t do that,” stated Trump.
It is all because Trump brought up the issue of the supply management system and how it is unfair to America.
“They charge what was 270 percent but somebody told me the other day they raised it to 295 percent for dairy products and its very unfair to our farmers and very unfair to the people of our country the workers, the farmers, the companies and we are not able to trade they have tremendous barriers up they have tremendous tariffs,” says Trump.
Trump is now contemplating automobile tariffs of 25 percent for Canadian automobiles entering the U.S.
