Registration Opens For 2018 NB Summer Reading Club

In an effort to promote literacy in New Brunswick, youth are encouraged to register for the 2018 Summer Reading Club.

Registration is now underway for the free program that is held in June, July and August at New Brunswick’s public libraries.

Last year, 11,708 club participants read 303,394 books, magazines or websites. This included 16 children who registered through library services by mail, a service offered to patrons who are unable to visit the library.

The program has been offered since 1991.

“Libraries play a key role in creating lifelong learning environments and promoting literacy through outreach and programming. The Summer Reading Club is a great example of this,” Finance Minister Cathy Rogers says.

Registration is now open at all public libraries. Visit or call your local public library to learn more or to sign up.
