After winning the Kentucky Derby and then The Preakness, “Justify” will run for horse racings elusive Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes.
The last horse to win the Triple Crown was “American Pharoah,” who won it in 2015.
Before that, it hadn’t been won since 1978 when “Affirmed” captured it.

The most historic win was “Secretariat” in 1973, who won the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths — a record that stands to this day.
New Brunswicker Ron Turcotte was the jockey who rode Secretariat to the Triple Crown.
