A package containing unauthorized items was recently seized in the medium security unit at Dorchester Penitentiary.
Correctional service officials say prison staff seized 100 nicotine patches on May 23rd with an estimated value of $10,000.
Two similar seizures of nicotine patches have been made at the prison in the past month.
