A lot of damage to three mini homes at Lakeville Estates after a fire overnight.
Moncton Platoon Chief Dennis Dollemont says when they arrived on scene on Dupuis Avenue at around 2am this morning, they found one mini home engulfed in flames and a second on fire, and it then spread to a third.
Dollemont says they called in Dieppe Fire for assistance, but it was a tough one to fight with the number of structures, and the fact they had to shuttle water in.
Three people managed to get out safely along with two cats.
“A passerby noticed a baby barn on fire. It caught the first mini home on fire. He alerted the people inside that were sleeping,” Dollemont says.
It took them about an hour to get the blaze fully extinguished.
The first mini home was destroyed, the second and third were extensively damaged.
There’s no word on a cause yet.
