The body of a man has been discovered in the woods in Amherst, Nova Scotia.
In a news release Sunday, the Amherst Police Department said the remains were found shortly before 4 Saturday afternoon in the woods off South Albion Street by two women who were in the area.
The Major Crimes Unit is investigating, with the help of the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner’s Office, and the RCMP Forensic Service Section.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
