A program which helps those who are homeless or at risk of being on the street is in need of donations.
The YMCA of Greater Moncton’s ReConnect Street Intervention Program accepts monetary donations.
Interim director Lisa Ryan says they also accept coffee cards since they often meet clients in public places.
“To give them the resources so they can purchase their own thing. Part of our mandate is to make sure we are giving people back their dignity that maybe they are losing while being stigmatized from the majority of society,” she notes.
Ryan adds they are always in need of hygiene products such as soap, shampoo and shaving items since they often give shower passes to clients.
